How to read the chart: Lengths are roof lengths; the frame is about 1 ft shorter (a 21′ roof sits on a 20′ frame). Roof pitch is 3:12 on 12′ to 30′ widths. Need something wider? Clear-span buildings 32′ to 60′ wide start at $7,295 (32′ × 21′, 14-gauge).
Taller legs
Every price above is for standard 6′ legs. Taller legs add clearance for lifted trucks, boats on trailers and RVs. The cost depends on height and length.
Tip: Measure your tallest vehicle including antennas, AC units and racks, then add a foot.
| Leg height | 20′ long | 25′ long | 30′ long | 35′ long | 40′ long |

What affects price
01
Width and length set the base price. Each step up in length adds roughly $300 to $900.
02
Vertical roofs cost more than regular, but handle wind and rain best.
03
Taller legs mean more steel. See the height chart above.
04
Sides, ends, doors and windows turn a carport into a garage.
05
14-gauge is standard. 12-gauge adds strength for a small upcharge.
06
Engineering level, permit fees and site access vary by address.
